For any cam model who wants to build a sustainable and rewarding career, time management - for work and personal time - are essential elements to balance.
Juggling live shows and content creating with personal life and self-care can quickly become cluttered and overwhelming without a clear plan.
Mastering how to organize your days and prioritize tasks helps increase productivity, reduce stress and improve overall performance on cam.
Here is my short, simple guide on how to master time management as a cam model.
CREATE A CONSISTENT SCHEDULE
If you are employed in a "routine" job - what we call a "9-5," you would have a rota or a weekly schedule of contracted hours.
You will know the days and times you work.
You will also know which days you have off.
The same principles should be applied if you are a self-employed cam model.
The beauty of this latter scenario is... as your own boss... you have the flexibility to set your working days and times, to suit yourself!
The most effective way to manage time as a cam model is by setting a consistent daily or weekly schedule of camming hours.
This act helps build positive work habits and lets your fans know when to expect you online.
Set specific days and times to prioritise streaming along with half a day a week for content creating (if you do this in addition to camming).
Write your hours down in your diary, mark them on your calendar and tell yourself "this is me, committed to my work."
Include buffer time to handle unexpected tasks that crop up, or deal with the inevitable tech issues that crop up from time to time!
Stick to your designated cam and content hours and this translates to consistency!
Consistency builds trust and encourages repeat visitors, who will visit your live cam shows and content sites as often as you do!

PRIORITIZE TASKS
Cam modeling involves more than just jumping on your live stream. There is a whole lot that goes on behind the scenes!
You will need to respond to fan messages, update profiles, create promotional and perhaps create custom content, too.
Write a list for each week or day that you work, and order tasks by importance.
Set yourself deadlines or goals, to help create a sense of urgency to get things done.
Tick each completed task off the list once done to demonstrate good workflow effectiveness.
In turn, this increases self esteem... you'll feel really badass and productive!
USE TOOLS TO STAY ORGANISED
For listing your tasks, you might be a good old fashioned journal writer just like me.
I've got to admit I still love picking up a pen and handwriting, doodling and making bullet points.
If this is too much of a faff, and you're quite a tech savvy person, there are a number of techy tools available.
Digital options for scheduling, taking notes, task management and reminders are great for reducing mental clutter and staying on top of everything.
Try apps like Google Calendar or iPhone calendar as these are free to use and provide a great framework for setting days, times and tasks along with reminder alerts.
Google Notepad, Microsoft OneNote or Apple Notes are simple digital jotters which can be used to write down tasks along with track records or achievements.
BALANCE WORK AND PERSONAL TIME
Avoid working non-stop by setting clear boundaries between work and personal life.
Personal time is equally as important to schedule as work time. Without good quality personal time, your performance and productivity on cam will not be to your satisfaction and your stress levels will increase!
Block out your personal time on your diary/calendar and enjoy planning things that make you feel calm, relaxed, energised and fulfilled.
Log out of all cam and creator platforms for the duration of this personal time.
Switch off platform notifications on your phone, if you work on any mobile app based video call or content creator platforms.
If you do not do these things, you will find it hard to switch off from "work."
Worse still, guys you speak to on cam/creator sites will assume you are always available and as a result, think they can encroach on your personal time.
Scheduling proper downtime from cam work is constructive to positive mental health and wellbeing and it will make you appreciate your work more.
As much as we love camming, it is highly refreshing to take that pressure off and be the regular "off-cam" self with family and friends!
The time management balancing takes effort, so tweak things as you go through each week to nail the schedule that suits you best.
You will need to work this around your body clock, your family and any other work you do.
Once it all falls into place, it feels great. You'll be calm, balanced and efficient as a person, and powerful and productive as a cam model!
